PIJHOON COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Effective upon public release on the App Store.
Pijhoon is an anti-flake social planning app. It only works if the people on it actually show up, treat each other well, and use the Bomb honestly. These Guidelines explain what we expect. They are part of the Terms of Service. Break them seriously or repeatedly, and you can lose your account.
1. THE BOMB CODE
The Bomb exists to keep plans real. Use it when it earned its name.
Bomb when:
- Someone confirmed a plan, then cancelled at the last minute without a real reason.
- Someone confirmed and just didn't show up (a true no-show).
- Someone repeatedly bails on the same group.
Do not Bomb when:
- The person never confirmed in the first place.
- The cancellation came with reasonable notice and a real reason (illness, family emergency, safety concerns).
- You are angry about something unrelated to the plan.
- You and friends are coordinating to dogpile someone you dislike.
- You are trying to scare someone into staying in a situation they don't feel safe in.
Bomb abuse — retaliatory Bombs, mass coordinated Bombs, Bombing people who did show up, or trading Bombs to game the system — is treated as a serious violation. We can reverse the debt, throttle your ability to Bomb, suspend your account, or ban you.
Debt is cleared by watching ads inside the app once that system is live, and through any other reset paths we describe in-app as the feature evolves. Debt has no monetary value.
2. BE A REAL PERSON
- Use your real first name or a name people who know you would recognize. No impersonation of other real people, public figures, or brands.
- One account per person.
- Don't create fake plans to farm attention, lure people somewhere under false pretences, or test the Bomb mechanic on strangers.
- Don't pretend to be a different age than you are, especially if you are under 18.
3. RESPECT PLANS AND THE PEOPLE IN THEM
- If you RSVP'd yes, show up. If you can't, tell the group as early as you can.
- Communicate. A short message is almost always better than silence.
- No harassment, threats, slurs, sexual messages to people who didn't ask for them, or relentless DMs to someone who isn't replying.
- No doxxing — don't share another user's phone number, address, workplace, or other identifying details without their clear permission.
- No screenshots of private chats shared publicly to shame someone. Resolve it in-app or report it.
4. SAFE MEETUPS
Pijhoon helps you plan; it doesn't supervise the hang. Take care of yourself.
- For first hangs with someone new, meet in a public place during reasonable hours.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going, who with, and when you expect to be back.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off before or during the meetup, leave. You can always Bomb later — your safety matters more than the plan.
- If you are under 18, do not meet adults you only know from the app alone, and tell a parent or guardian about plans before you go.
- Pijhoon does not run background checks on users.
5. NO ILLEGAL STUFF AND NO APPLE-PROHIBITED CONTENT
Do not use Pijhoon to plan, promote, sell, buy, or distribute:
- illegal drugs or controlled substances;
- weapons, ammunition, or explosives;
- stolen goods;
- sexual content of any kind, including nudity, sexual solicitation, and any sexual content involving minors (this last category is reported to authorities);
- content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way;
- hate speech, threats, or content that incites violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics;
- gambling that violates local law;
- self-harm or suicide encouragement;
- terrorist content or content supporting designated terrorist organizations;
- any content or activity that violates the App Store Review Guidelines, including Apple's Acceptable Use rules.
If something would get Pijhoon kicked off the App Store, it has no place on Pijhoon.
6. REPORTING
If you see something that breaks these Guidelines, tell us. Send an email to hello@pijhoon.com with:
- your Pijhoon display name and the phone number or email on your account;
- the username or display name of the person you are reporting;
- what happened, where in the app, and roughly when;
- screenshots if you have them.
For anything that puts a person in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then tell us.
We treat reports seriously, and we treat the identity of the reporter as confidential where we can. We do not guarantee a specific outcome, but we read every report and act on credible ones.
7. ENFORCEMENT
When we find a violation, the response depends on how serious it is and whether it has happened before. Typical steps:
- Warning — a notice and a chance to fix it.
- Throttle — temporary limits on posting plans, sending DMs, or firing Bombs.
- Suspension — a time-limited block on your account.
- Ban — permanent removal from Pijhoon and deletion of the account, subject to any data we are required to keep for legal reasons.
For serious violations — sexual content involving minors, credible threats, doxxing, harassment campaigns, organized Bomb abuse, illegal-activity coordination — we skip straight to suspension or ban, and we report to authorities where the law requires it.
Bomb abuse specifically: in addition to the steps above, we may reverse fraudulent debt, restore the targeted user's standing, and revoke the offender's ability to fire Bombs.
If you think we got an enforcement decision wrong, reply to the enforcement email or write to hello@pijhoon.com and tell us why. We'll take another look.
Thanks for being the kind of person who shows up.
— Sida, Pijhoon
